What was your FIRST Sonic game?

My First Sonic Game...

My first sonic game was Sonic Adventure DX on the game cube. In one funny memory i never beat the game cube version of the game because of the big the cat levels but i did eventually beat the game when i bought it on PSN.

My first Sonic game was none other than his very first outing on the Sega Genesis (Sonic the Hedgehog or Sonic 1). I was around 3-4 years old at the time. The very first level I played was the first version of the continually remade and remixed Green Hill Zone Act 1.

Yes, I am almost as old as some of the founding members of the SRB2 community, but I don't think I will be able to outgrow Sonic.

My first ever Sonic game was simply a Happy Meal gift toy. I don't know if it was something special for only the European market but I think it's the best Happy Meal toy ever. It's still the best part of my Sonic collection. It was about 2003 when we've been to Germany with my parents who wanted to buy a flat in Germany and one day we visited McDonalds. They were giving these Sonic games with Happy Meal. I got the Tails one.

Mine was probaly sonic colors (the wii version). Man, do I have some nice memories with that game. I never made it past tropical resort, but a friend of mine got to sweet mountain act 1 or 2 for me. One day, my family left our wii at our old town, and I never saw it again...

My first sonic was Sonic Mega Collection Plus for the PS2. I still own this game which is fun to play the classics in that game. I did get 2 games on the same day which was Sonic Mega Collection Plus and Sonic Heroes, both for PS2

Wasn't this one on PC as well? I need to get it.

Yeah Sonic Heroes is on PC. Not sure about Mega Collection Plus though
Many Sonic game came out on PC (under the "Sega PC" brand) such as Sonic CD, R, 3&K, 3D Blast, Riders, Heroes, Adventure DX and many more recent ones...

So yeah, Mega Collection Plus got a PC release circa 2006 and 2007.

My first Sonic game was 06...I still love it. I beat it when I was 5. Followed by my favorite Sonic game, Unleashed, which I beat when I was 6.

My first Sonic game was the 2015 remake of Sonic 1 on Android. Green Hill Zone was a bit frustrating for me at the time (since my brain had no idea of how Sonic worked and just did things a Mario player would do with Mario, like falling off a ledge to fall into a motobug and then suddenly being confused why I got hit). My playthrought ended in Marble Zone, my only hope was damage boosting thought lava but anyways I uninstalled he game.
Now I'm much better at Sonic games. But I still like playing Mario and Luigi games. There is something about them that I like and I can't find in Sonic.
The Sonic games that I am currently playing are SRB2 and Sonic Delta 40MB.

I'm sorry for nitpicking, but the remake came out in 2013.
My first exposure to the blue blur was Mega Collection on Gamecube.

Oh I did not know...
I think I experience that game in 2017...? I don't really remember... Before I played that game I think I knew about Sonic, but I knew so little about him that I thought that he was owned by Sony, because son-ic son-y, and also because I knew Sony was famous at gaming. Back then I was a pretty much phone-less kid, I lived with my Nokia 225 occasionaly playing Block Breaker 3 an Asphalt 8 (for J2ME).
I think I've gotten a little bit too off-topic, but this is the off-topic section so I guess that's fine.

Why isn't it ported on PC and consoles yet?/QUOTE]

Because of Sega Forever.
They are the cause why they put an emulator on every platform except Android.
Why? It could be because the company who made the emulators paid them a lot of money so they could release their ports.

I think you're mistaken, the version Whitehead made wasn't emulated but built in a custom engine (this is why many elements like a wide screen, a smoother framerate and turning animation are only there).

Sonic CD used this engine but got ported to PC then why not Sonic 1 and 2 as well?

My first exposure to Sonic was Sonic 2's Casino Night Zone. My cousin was playing it and let me play as Tails. I was amazed by the game's presentation. Later, my parents bought me the most recent Sonic game at the time, Sonic Heroes.
