Models

So you may be wondering if this is the new models that have been floating around. Nope! I've decided to update this abomination and makes it less of an abomination.

This is the wip version of the pack that I planned to skip for the new version. But people were so hunger I decided to give you all an appetizer before the full course meal.

*Warning: This version is a wip as mentioned before any issues such as character animations or wip characters like derp will NOT be fixed*




How To Use:

LFMAIN goes inside the models folder.
the models.dat file goes in the Srb2 directory [same area where the srb2 exe is located]

if you're new to 2.2 and have used 2.1

the name Md2 is replaced with the name models

For those who are familiar with file renaming. you don't have to remove an existing model pack to install others. simply put. "models.dat modelsJJ.dat, etc etc." you can switch packs by having multiple models.dat files in the directory. HOWEVER they must ALL be different names so you don't overwrite them. just rename the model.dat file to something else and vice versa.

Basically.

The Model.dat file tells the game to assign who to what model.

for example. if you want Jeck's models to be dominate but he doesn't have a dirk and you want use the dirk from my pack.

you'd need to add this line to his model.dat file.

DIRK LFMAIN/DIRK.md2 3.0 0.0

this only works if it's missing if he already has a dirk in his dat file it just needs to be replaced.

Just copy everything from this .txt into models.dat

You know the text file you got from downloading this? Put it in your main folder. If there's already a text file called "models" then replacing that one with this one *Is the simplest way* to do it, if you can't edit text files. The file must be named "models". Create a new folder called "models" and then put "LFMAIN" inside that folder.

I put hinote, dirk and others in the jeck models.dat one by opening it through notepad, and it still didnt load the hinote or dirk models in srb2, even though the lines were in the jeck models.dat one.


Next thing i did is put the dirk png, dirk blend png and its md3 and the same for hinote on the jeck jims model folder, and it still didnt load the models for it, and the dirk and hinote lines were still on the jeck jims models.dat file.

Make Sure LFMAIN is in the models folder. Not Jeck's

The "new folder" must be renamed to "models" and "LFMAIN" must be in it. You have put OPENGL renderer on, and turned models on right?

The folder has to be named models. Put LFMAIN in the Jeck Jims folder

And i named models2 to models, and changed jeck jims one to models, and, well yeah, it made the hinote model, but it removed the one for sonic and tails, etc..

Nevermind, both jeck and yours are working now, finally.


Except dirk tho.


Edit: Nevermind (again), Dirk is working now, i didnt add the dirk line from the lonelyfoxz model.dat file.


Same for shadow and flicky.


But why is there a pointy on the LFMAIN Folder, but not on the models.dat one?

Sooooo POINTY.md2 doesnt work (im in v2.2.2) i mean the model loads buuuuuuttttttttt the animations dont exist and he only does idle pose when moving & jumping
idk wat to do

The model is old and wasn't intended for use.
