Bugged unlockables

This is simple to explain: Get an unlockable by finishing a level. (perfect bonus or x amount of emblems for example) Abort the level before the score is calculated in the HUD with ring and time bonus. Then you don't get info of unlocking anything. Actually you don't even unlock anything before you get your next non-bugged emblem.

Also, if you somehow happen to crash the game and have done this bug, You might lose the "bugged" ring, score and time attack emblems and unlockables that you have gotten after your last non-bugged emblem.

You're just skipping the unlock trigger. There's nothing "bugged" about it, the game will just check again the next time it gets the chance. If you happen to exit the game immediately after, it'll check the next time you open the game, notice that the unlocks should be there and just put them there.

Game data is also saved on error. (We probably shouldn't do this, but we do. Most source ports don't just in case memory is totally corrupted by whatever the error condition was.) The only thing that won't save game data is the standard Windows error handler.
