So. It has been sitting on my hard drive for God knows how long. Time to let people "experience" these old maps I made?

So here we go, a handful of old match maps and single player maps - including an unfinished mod of mine from some time ago!

Obviously, this is the first map of the "4th Dimension" mod. Came about when I thought that the game needed more open levels. Very few places in the map you can't go, but it isn't particularly large.

Probably the map I'm most proud of; not because it's epicly awesome, or anything like that, but because it is so darn complex. Few people that tested it told me they kept getting lost; helpful arrows are in the map, to guide you.

Sunset Greens, Act 3 - boss, using Prime_2's excellent SOCcing abilities. (Map03)

Spark mortar. Dunno how many people recognise it - one of Prime_2's awesome SOCs. I don't recall how this boss came about, and I'm not sure whether I made much of it. So I'll just call it Prime's. Beware; for a first boss, it is rather unforgiving.

I felt like uploading my first ever map. Why? Just for giggles, I guess. Music is "Skydeck a Go! Go!", from Sonic Adventure 1.

Second map I made, IIRC. Certainly better than Molten Caves - but hardly groundbreaking. Most incomplete map I have linked here, with a few textures being wrong. Be warned, it does get a little painful on the eyes (And ears, at one point - though I can't fix this).

Likely my most well know map, and the last I released - nearly 2 years ago? Probably my best. Can't say, myself. Hell of a time making it though - and quite certainly my first -known- encounter with the blockmap limit (First encounter was Molten Mountain, but I didn't know back then).

And that is all of them! Obviously no screenshots for match maps - I didn't find it as important when compared to the single player maps.

All match maps support Match and Tag, and all SP maps support single, co-op and race.

On a side note, they were all done quite a while ago, and even then, when I was mostly bored. Don't expect anything epic, but maybe good for a game or two. :P

Yeah, also thanks Prime for merging identical sectors, getting rid of unnecessary stuff, other map optimisation stuff. I forget the specifics. '-';

Edit: Post edited to include link to one WAD containing all of the match maps. May do this to single player maps too. Maybe.
 
You totally glazed over two things about techno peak act 1.

First of all, there's a trap I put in there around the blue shield, which no longer works due to a bug fix. Here is how it worked:

1: The player activates a crumbling FOF that falls into the trap area, which has lasers and spikes.
2: The spikes, placed around the monitor, react tot he falling FOF and spring up into the air, encasing the monitor in a cage of sorts, barring the player from hitting it.

The second thing is that, on hard mode, the THZ slime is replaced with a special version of the Nitric Citadel insta-kill acid which actually lets you go deep enough first to make a splash as you die.

And here's a third thing because I felt generous: I freaking dare you to use noclip in this level. Seriously.



...heh. I just played it again myself. I really ought to make some detailed commentary on all of this XD
 
The only good one I saw here was Emerald Mountain, which was about a 6 or 7 out of ten in my opinion, all the rest of the levels were almost completely unplayable.
 
Personally, I think it's worth the effort. But I will admit, Naga, that you could have made our lives easier by releasing the match levels as a single level pack.
 
Post updated, match maps joined together (I was tired at the time, I never even thought about it).
