What happened to Knuckles?

working on a mod, its 20% complete.

So I loaded SRB2, like I do, but an error message came up, telling me that gamedata.dat was corrupted, so I replaced it with my backup. After that, however, my Knuckles save file can't load. Any help? I was on Red Mountain with all 7 Chaos Emeralds.

UPDATE: I got the 7 emeralds back, but the progress hasn't been restored.

It seems that your Knuckles save file got corrupted or something. Sadly we can't do nothing about it. Also it's Red Volcano, not Red Mountain :v
 
I think your save file has been corrupted. Did you update your PC or SRB2 recently? because it could be one of those two or maybe it was some kind of add-on or maybe you did something and the game tried to fix it and got corrupted
