Wow, are you sure it's a movie? I thought that old show died years ago. Oh well, this is interesting yet unexpected news. However to be honest, I never really liked the show, but seeing that youtube video brought back good memories of old times.

The whole thing isn't animated, just the effects, not the people. I saw this trailer in the movie theater, and I probably won't watch it. I just never really watched speed racer.

I know, I was referring to the parts that are animated.
 
So um... what is so terrible about this anyways?

I've seen a few episodes of the show, and while I probably won't care to watch it, I don't think it will be as bad as all that.
 
The movie seems ok, but there are just some parts that just kill it. No offense to anybody who likes the show.
 
I think it would be enjoyable to watch. It looks like live action classic anime :P
