What just happen to the master server?

Just be patient, like every other time the MS is down, wait for it to open back up. If you really want to have a netgame, rally up your friends and join by IP.
 
Also a remindal that life doesn't orbit around SRB2 only, there's a ton of other games and possibly real life, too (though I think the latter is overrated).
