Update to V 2.2.5 has no Linux download link?

Velvet

Why hello there ~♥
Hi all,

I tried to connect to the Master Server until I was met with a prompt that SRB2 got a recent update. I looked for the download link on the official website but I see no version 2.2.5 link available for Linux.
https://www.srb2.org/download/

What could I do to fix this?

Either you have to build 2.2.5 from the source or get wine and use the Windows build. The PPA isn't updated anymore unfortunately.

Basically you can follow this PKGBUILD to compile the game for you distro.
Remember that if you are compiling with the latest GNU C Compiler, edit the Makefile so it would contain "CFLAGS=-fcommon".

I'm sorry, but where are the directions? Am I supposed to paste this in my terminal?

If there's a file I'm supposed to download: https://aur.archlinux.org/cgit/aur.git/commit/?h=srb2&id=36d04e80707b26c3a8d83f95771f35de2ebea397
I did, and it didn't seem to change anything when I put it in my srb2 folder.

To be clear: I already downloaded SRB2 2.2.4 from the SRB2 official website. So now i Just need to figure out a way to upgrade my software even though there's no clear instructions on how exactly am I supposed to do it.

Okay now I see why I was confused.

The user gave me an Arch link and I use a Debian-based Linux OS (Linux Mint 20 Cinnamon)

I headed over to the SRB2 Discord server and a kind person sent me the link for the AppImage
https://github.com/mazmazz/SRB2/rel...ployer-2-appimage-706968646-f7586cb7.AppImage

I put it in the srb2 folder in home directory

Checked the properties of the program by a right click and allowed its permissions to run as a program

Then I opened the terminal in the home srb2 folder and put in the following commands

./ [the file's name].AppImage

then it installed to the latest version of SRB2 :D

Thanks to Yume and RyuukenZenkou

My SRB2 is now running fine.
