How does it react?
A) The game just shows a Windows' error message.
B) The game just crashes and doesn't show anything in the screen.
At first it seems like the game is trying to load files it cannot access because you changed some permissions.
But what I think it is, you updated the game wrong and now it's trying to load with old files, to make sure it isn't that, try downloading the update 2.2.2 (again, if you did so beforehand).
