SRB2K Custom Character Duplication Issue

So I was trying to throw together a custom Scourge racer for SRB2 Kart. Everything went well and the files imported fine, but for some reason the default Sonic is also appearing (visually only) as Scourge as well. I used the standard Sonic Kart sprites as a base but after editing the sprites to look different it should be fine, or so I thought. Do I need to redo the filenames or is it something else? Any help would be appreciated.

Maybe you should try to check which skin is set to display on the Player, if thats not the case, try to redo the file names and see if there's any mistakes on it

That seems to have fixed it, apparently the kart maker program I was using didn’t rename all the sprites, and used the default name instead.
