Quake is back.

Release date:Out now, open beta

Basically, Quake Live is Quake 3 Arena in your browser, that's
free. There are ads, but they aren't distracting, and there is only 1 ad that you'll see right now. All the weapons are back from Quake 3 Arena, and even gamemodes. It's hard describing a game that is just so much win, so I'll let you try it out.

The site is constantly down for me.
I must say my experience with this game got so far to the register page. Which didn't work either.

I just plain dislike Quake. The game mechanics aren't very balanced, and I'm not too fond of high-speed shooters anyway.

All I have to say is I think Quake Live sucks, but the idea that it's played in your browser through a plugin is pretty cool.

I've played. I don't like Quake.

Though I didn't really notice any ads; the game runs smoothly, you can fullscreen it. You wouldn't think you were playing in a browser.

Just a problem it wouldn't work in Opera. Oh well.
