I'll Begin

🐑✨
I've asked this before on the IRC some time ago but I couldn't figure out how to do it.

So, does anybody know how I can import SRB2's pallete into PS6? Some pix would be nice too.

Thanks in advance.

Is there a "take color" tool (looks like eyedropper)?
Do you know how to access Photoshop's palletes?
I don't know about photoshop, but that is how it can be done in gimp.

There's an eyedropper tool, but that's not effective for what I'm doing.

I don't know how to acess PS's palletes.

Take a screenshot in software mode.

Open screenshot in Photoshop

Go to the save palette thingy.

What's more, if you feel like modifying that palette and then inserting it into the game, just add the ACT file into XWE. It'll handle the rest for you!

...not that I can think of too many legit reasons for editing the palette, but, well, there you go.

Don't take a screenshot in srb2. Take the doom palette and do that.

Incorrect, 1-Up. That is not the right way to do it. What you just posted was a 16-million color image, and is not at all ideal for usage. If you want to use the actual palette internally, you export a sprite image from any SRB2 or DooM WAD, or take a screenshot using the correct console command. Opening it up in Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro will also open the 256-color palette with it. You can then save the image's palette for future use through the proper menu item (in Paint Shop Pro, this is located under Image > Palette > Save Palette).
