Boss SOC with Super Sonic damage

How would I set up a SOC to create a boss that (a) does NOT take damage when touched by Super Sonic, only when spinning, and (b) can shoot projectiles that can send Super Sonic back around... say... well, like in the SA2B Final Hazard deal... yeah. So, help me please. Thanks.

To send SS backwards, you need to modify the flags of the projectile being shot. If you want to make it so you can't run spam into eggman, create a reason to jump. Projectiles, pits, obstacles to jump over, etc.
 
Ohhhh... How about separate objects to shoot for the boss? Kill them all, a translucent wall goes down, and you can kill the boss in just one hit!
 
You'll still have to make the boss have less health and then flag the projectiles from said objects. It's even more work, but it'd be much less climactic for a super fight because you wouldn't really be fighting eggman.
