Specialised Character WAD Creator?

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this in.

Judging by the Character WAD tutorial in the SRB2 Wiki, I reckon it sounds needlessly complicated (then again I'm just lazy :roll:). I reckon that someone with some programming know-how should look into creating a Character WAD creator with a simple interface.

Don't ask me, I can only program in Python.

*gets a vision of Shuffle closing this thread and saying "make your own program"* ... That wasn't a good vision.
 
Someone requested to turn this tabbed wad-editor into a srb2 one. But is there really a need? We do have Srb2 Doom Builder and replacing graphics or sounds and rewriting objectcfg/maincfg can be done with many wad editors
 
Meh, just use XWE. It's completely straightforward and almost every function is self-explanatory.
 
Well, I considered once writing something. But it would be incredibly limited, and command line. Plus I don't want to satisfy these annoying cries.
 
Well, it does get annoying when people can't understand the very basic program that is XWE.

Yeah, it's less simplified than SRB2 Doombuilder, but I find it easier to use.

I still need some skills in the level-making department. I'll try making a character later.
 
Err... SRB2Builder is for levels. XWE is mainly for basic lump management, nothing more. Its built-in map editor is barely functional, and not at all practical.
