STORY

Sora, Donald and Goofy travel down a long road that meanders through endless fields, and come to a crossroads. As Sora stands in the crossroads, he gazes up at the night sky and thinks of his lost friends.

Just then, a mysterious man approaches from down one of the branching paths. "Ahead lies something you need," he says, "but to claim it, you must lose something dear." The man vanishes before a single path, leading to a castle that eerily resembles a girl's drawing...

In the coming journey, what will Sora and his companions gain, and what will they lose?

Not complaining about this release, but they could have brought over, oh I dunno... Kingdom Hearts 2 Final Mix?
Obviously, Final Mix sold enough copies in Japan to warrant S-E an afterthought of bringing Re: Chain of Memories over, it was intended to be Japan exclusive only... They could have brought over Final Mix along with Re: Chain of Memories, seeing as the two disks were in the same package in Japan (hence it being called Kingdom Hearts 2: Final Mix+, the "plus" indicating the remake of Chain of Memories...)

But at least we're getting something..., usually Japan exclusives stay in Japan...

That's the problem. It's just a Kh:CoM in 3d, Which we could have got from Kh2:Final Mix. Scratch that, CoM sucked, Why would you want them to release it in 3d?

Anyway... It's just a few extra cutscenes...

Like I said, we're getting something out of the Final Mix edition...
And CoM was not that bad of a game. The gameplay needed some work (the card battling really sucked in certain points), but overall it was a decent entry in the Kingdom Hearts series.
