So yeah this took me several months to make but after a lot of blood sweat and tears I've finally recreated (as best I could given the limitations of the engine) Resort island from Sonic R!


I also recommend checking out k_Saturntunes if you want to add to the experience.



If you've given the map a try please leave some feedback here, I'll try to release further updates to address some issues if any are brought up.




I'd like to thank a few people for helping.
Tiniest Turtles for object art and models (was a huge help to this project)

Wolfs for telling me how Action works so objects aren't too small
VadaPega for letting me steal his code from his windows 3D maze for custom objects.

- fixed lap region to go over the water
- lowered the ground around the ruins area to make it so you can skip over the water without getting bumped on the slope
- adjusted some of the ruins wall textures on the buildings so the windows are consistent at the front
- adjusted encore palette to fix pure white being shown as brown
- adjusted minimap secret path colour to be more distinct

Is there a reason why the finish line does not extend to the grass or water on the sides and only works on the path? It's not like the water is a death hazard.I also think the shuttle loop needs to trigger a sound when a player uses it, as its jarring for the camera to cut away but no actual sound to be hearable due to the camera's distance, so it should trigger something (to player, from nowhere). Finally, if I really wanna nitpick, all the letters in the song title should be capitalized. Still, its a solid remake, so it can go to releases!

Oh I didn't catch that the finish line doesn't trigger if you go over the water I'll need to look into that.

just saying he could of
1. used the srb2 sonic mod for kart
2. ported it to srb2 via zone builder
3. copied the whole map via having it side by side
