Whenever I try to connect to a netgame, either on the master server or directly, SRB2 throws a SIGABRT error. Checking the logs in the terminal simply states that stack smashing was detected without any further information. I have tried reinstalling SRB2 and compiling it from source, both producing the same error, so this could either be a dependency issue or there's a bug in the game's code itself.

I am running a fully updated version of Ubuntu 19.10.
The versions of SRB2's dependencies installed on my system are as follows:
libsdl2-2.0-0: 2.0.10+dfsg1-1ubuntu1
libsdl2-mixer-2.0-0: 2.0.4+dfsg1-2
zlib1g: 1:1.2.11.dfsg-1ubuntu3
libgme0: 0.6.2-1
libopenmpt0: 0.4.6-1
libpng16-16: 1.6.37-1
