Suggestions

As we all know, putting the No Climb flag on a Custom Exit control linedef allows the score tally to be skipped. I suggest that this feature is moved to a Level Header option, such as NoTally or something, so this feature can also be used on Boss Acts. I'd love to be able to skip the score tally on Final Bosses, like in the classic Sonic games on the MegaDrive/Genesis and CD. (Except 3D: Flickies' Island/3D Blast)
 
Having Egg Knights hurt you when you are spindashing into their attacks would make them a more formidable foe, they seem too easy to get past especially when you can just stay in one place charging your spindash to get rid of them, like the Crawlas.

More Commands to Make the Game More User-Friendly Through Console

I just thought of some new commands that I think might prove useful in the near future.

IPBan- Bans a user/node mentioned with the IP Address being used by that person

Banlength- used with IPBan to select how long to ban a user.
Code:
IPBAN [User name/node]; 0 years 0 months 2 weeks 3 days 12 hours 0 minutes
But some of the time units can be left out to be counted as 0.

Banreason- used with IPBan/Ban and with banlength to tell the reason of hitting someone with the almighty ban hammer.
Code:
 BanIP 01; banreason porn in name; banlength (Time period)
Silence- Mute only single players instead of the entire server.

mapname- The name of the map residing in the map number. Simple.
Example:

mapname map01 [Enter]
Greenflower Zone 1
(only mentioned if there is an author mentioned in the wad/mod)
Made by [Name]

Disableweapon- Used so you can disable weapon rings. (As in when noobs spam rails)
Code:
Disableweapon (weapon(s))

saycolor- So you can use a color on the character palette to color text.
Code:
saycolor red this is an example.

My bad, that might be added, but I see no point, unless there's some sort of autoaimer for SRB2, so rails would have to be disabled, or if a wad screws up a weapon's effect, causing a server to lag.
 
I will note that Rail is kinda absolutely essential to the balance of match and there's no way we'd let you turn it and only it off.

Surely I don't need to drag up that old topic where SMS ranted about "balancing the game" by making it pure luck.
 
In-game Ban and Kick reasons. Having to say why you're kicking or banning somebody before doing so is insanely annoying, and tends to make 'em leave before you can do anything.
 
- To stop maps with undeaf'd rings, make all rings with a height of 0 be "deaf'd", and if the ring has a certian flag, this will not happen.

- KICKSPAMMER (A) (B)
This should be a server/admin only command that will kick any player that says the same message more than A times in B seconds. Set both A and B to 0 to disable. You cannot set A to 1.

- Have the game add/download a server's wads AFTER it checks if it is allowing joiners. I hate being forced to download/add wads making me have to reopen srb2.

2. How about Srb2 Sports? It could have Sonic football and golf and even basketball.
 
Two new command for level design:

1) BLINDENEMIES on/off

It blinds all enemies of a map, so they can't be triggered when a player passes nearby. It could be useful when you are building a map and want to test it to see enemy layout. It works only if DEVMODE is on.

2) PROMPTMESSAGES on/off

This disables/enables messages like "chasecam set to on/off" and "screen shot srb20000.png saved in .\screenshot", this could avoid such messages from being "printed" on the screenshots.
 
1. Have the game tell you what wads are added (if you are missing any), WITHOUT crashing the game.

2. Make dropped rings uncollectable untill 1 second after spawning. Currently, if you get hurt by someone who is invincible, they pick up all of your stuff right when it flies out of you. They should be uncolletable by all players untill 1 second has passed. (instead of just the original holder of the rings/weapons/exc.)

3. Make weapons, ammo, and emeralds blink before they dissapear when dropped. (like rings do)

4. Maybe have a player's name appear above his/her head? Like if you see a player on your screen, if they are close enough, a name will pop up above their head.

This already exists, just under a different name (which I cannot recall right now, but try using the "Help" command). Also, if you're hit by a "noob" spamming Rail, he is no "noob" and you just suck. Or you're fighting Armonte. Or anyone else that's good with rail aiming.

Make weapon panels fade out faster. It's not too bad, but I've been fooled into thinking a panel was still there when it wasn't a few times before.

Melee attacks (aka Invincibility) work that way intentionally. They're not being changed.

Do you mean listwad? I'm talking about how the game exits and pulls up a seperate error window showing the missing wads.

Well at least invincibility should be easyer to see in other players. If someone is invincible, they could be running at you at full speed and you would have to look closely to see the invincibility sparkles. By the time you can see them, it's too late to
react; you get rammed, and robbed. At least, thats the problem I have.

Anyways, the rail ring needs to have a lower knockback. It's very annoying, especialy in Nimbus Ruins zone. (1 hit from rail = fall into death pit)
