Portforwarding on CODA

hi, so i got a new router and was trying to port forward, however whenever i did, the router wouldnt save the port and would instead delete it

its a CODA-4589, and im still confused as to why its not saving it, or if im doing something wrong

I don't think there's a condition where a router can't portforward. Though it's still possible, try again. Maybe you've done something incorrectly. Or you didn't save, idk.
I'll leave this tutorial here anyway, it's really good and easy to understand

well i have managed to get the port to stay, however even if its ported forward, the master server still counts it as unavailable, i have no idea what i'm doing wrong here

There are two possibilites, either your fireware is blocking you from port forwarding, or basically that today the MB was down for almost the whole day, and the servers as well (though I don't know)
There's a third possibility which is that something happens to you that I don't know, that I won't understand neither be able to explain, so you'll probably have to ask someone else. You could ask for more help on the discord server.

You could try scanning your network from the outside using shieldsup https://www.grc.com/port_5029.htm
That doesn't necessarily mean it's correctly NATting to your computer/server host but it's a starting point for analysis to see if the port appears open from the outside.

Edit: sorry that is useless as it only scans for TCP. Use this one instead https://www.ipvoid.com/udp-port-scan/
enter your public IP and custom port 5029

nmap could be used with an external machine but that isn't exactly beginner friendly
