SMB1 Mario Bros. in SRB2 2.2.X

Technically, SRB2 is a 2.5D game, unless you're using models.

A 2.5D game is actually just a 2D game where you occassionally move to the background or foreground without ever leaving the 2D plane. Most games that are like this usually have 3D assets for the background while characters are 2D sprites - much like the original Klonoa on the PS1, or Tombi.

SRB2 is a 3D game with 2D sprites that are drawn from various angles. As for this Mario, while yes it could be very neat to see this Mario from multiple angles, I can understand not doing it and just trying to give it a cool gameplay gimmick.

I do have to mention that there used to be an NES-Mario.wad back in final demo that did have rotations. Granted, it was pretty choppy since it is pretty old now, but I would suggest digging around to find that and at least use it as a base for multiple angles, if you're inclined to use them.

Actually i don't plan on using multiple angles for Mario, Because i think that would ruin the Nostalgic experience

BUT, I will actually include another ZIP file for Mario, that being a texture and music pack.

The Mario bros from the 80's now on SRB2. The premise of this is simple, it's to add the 8-Bit Mario brothers in SRB2 as playable characters including some abilities from the original game, (i.e Swimming, Crouching) As of now i'm waiting for someone to help me do the ability stuff. Thank you for visiting.

just wondering.. where can i find that Mario & Luigi Mario?

This is why I love you and your work.

Oh btw, in case you didn't know for the Lua I sent, the LAND sprites can be used for crouching.

Its a 3D game using sprites, not 2.5D, 2.5D is games like New Super Mario Brothers. Using either models for characters or ground and using sprites for characters or ground

can't wait for it to be released

I'm sure this character mod will release soon. But first, i must finish the SMB1 Assets mod for full experience on Pipe Towers Zone.

Well, You guys are in for a pleasant surprise! I recently revised the character selection sprite to match the original one (SMB:LL Artwork) more. Again it's SMB1 Mario so why not?
