Started by Dave Lite and compiled by both him and I,
I present to you the largest grouping of community made textures to be made in SRB2's history. This thing's nearly the size of srb2.pk3!

This pack also includes many custom objects you can use to spice up your levels. Include ones with custom lua added to them!

This pack is ENTIRELY reusable. In fact, I encourage you to explore the textures and texturesets included in this pack. I'd love to see what you all can create using these new textures.

I ALSO encourage anyone reading this to send me your own textures. Anything you can create! I'd love to see how large we can make this. Made any textures? Send 'em over! I'll add you to the credits list.

To use these textures in your levels you must load this pack in Zone Builder as a resource.

HOWEVER. You shouldn't make people have to load this to play your stage! To fix this issue, take the textureset folders you're using, and put them in your own pk3.

You could theoretically do this with the entire pk3 if you wanted, but that'd be bloated as hell so don't xd.

This is really awesome! There are so many nice textures and objects in here, I'm really excited to mess around with some of these. Welcome to releases!
 
Oh right, I did retexture Egg Rock
Makes me wanna actually finish Asterock Zone now that sounds like a good idea.

Good to see this finally released because I'd formally forgotten these assets existed, eheh...
 
Now you have no excuse to use GFZROCK as default/place holder textures everyone
 
How would one go about crediting this? Just a simple "some textures taken from the Community Asset Pack" thrown in there? I'm not sure this specifies exactly who made what...

You can credit specific contributors by taken asset sets. we formatted in easy to use way credits.txt file for this exact purpose. simply just copy paste parts of it into your credits file or thread, or if you are lazy you can always simply copy paste entire credits. Preferably you could mention it was taken out of this pack, but you don't have to neither crediting us both (well, you would had to, if you used made by us assets though), but we are not taking credit for anyone elses work.

Believe it or not, I actually couldn't get the pack when it was in v2.0. Heh.

Do I need to say this pack is incredible? There's no excuse for anyone to not keep this forever in the ZB resource list.
 
I'm experiencing problems with the example map. After I make it halfway through that purple stone hallway, my game crashes and says "Out of Memory"
Is there any way to fix this?

Phew. I'm glad I can finally get this out after so many months. Asset Pack v5 has DOUBLED the amount of textures in the Asset Pack.

Asset Pack is now split into a few files. The ZIP archive includes
-. Textures PK3
-. Objects PK3
-. TelosTurntable's Egg Rock texture replacements
-. Example Map
-. Credits TXT

Amazing resource, not only with great original textures and assets but also replacers that look so much better than their original counterparts!

There's two things that do bother me though. First, in Telos' ERZ/Special Stage texture replacement pack, there's a large amount of textures that aren't edited from vanilla at all. These include the Mare signs, the checkerboard tiles labelled SPEC, THPIPE texture dupes that don't belong to either set at all, the Void & Space textures, and GFZ flower textures for some reason. Are these all placeholders for an upcoming update, or a simple mistake? Second, none of the flats in either texture pack are actually set to be such, just being labelled as graphics. They need to be converted or they don't show up properly in OpenGL.

Otherwise, this is one of the best resources for custom level creation on the board! I'm looking forward to future releases with even more content.
