also maybe you should remake the other characters textures too? they do have colored eyes and sonic has the classic cartoon eyes.
also maybe you should make the colors for sonics fur a bit lighter? i feel it'd fit well with the classic textures and proportions

in mario 64 and in a whole lot of other games, when you take the camera affar from a character it get's replaced with a lowe poly model, that technique is called "LOD level of detail" and is all over the place

now, that effect is not posible in srb2, so i just did a lowe poly count version for fun, it has 188 tris, while my normal sonic has 368 tris, so is practically the half
