I'm Honestly Just Plain Stupid...
Although the new addons are cool such as foxbot, Adventure sonic, and other popular addons. Some addons are way cooler in srb2 2.1! I went looking for some today. I found things like mobj pickup, prop hunt, and other cool machanics! I even use some old characters! Other than a few errors they work perfectly. You wouldn't even notice the errors.

I kinda agree.
In 2.1 there was less mods but they were more interesting on average.
In 2.2 mods are higher quality but we have too many uninspired mods(notably sonic-like characters or memes)
 
I would say that 2.1 has the SONIC DVD proof-of-concept and 2.2 doesn't but Sonic MVD is expanding on that by making it a full-length Sonic CD sequel with plenty of bells of whistles as well.
