Using the Final Demo Remaster wad file somehow prevents the Sea Egg in DSZ3 from spawning, meaning you're completely unable to make progress. I'm only using it for the level objects, because had the monitors been replaced, I wouldn't have had to use a mod like that.

And that is partially why I didn't use those monitors: I didn't want object ids getting overwritten.

I guess we can live without monitors. The monitor sprites in v2.1 and v2.2 are (almost) exactly the same, anyway, apart from icons. But the checkpoint and signpost sprites could be changed to their v2.1 counterparts and then we wouldn't have this confusion.

Also for the next update, can you add the rain effect for both acts of Castle Eggman? You said you were gonna focus on the zone itself for the next update, this is just something I feel like should happen.

rain in CEZ 2.1? There was no rain there in 2.1-

So the problem about this is that it reaches the maxsend limit: 51200, which prevents other players downloading in-game.
If possible, can you try to clear off some files to make it less than 51200 (like the sound effects)? It is optional.

I know there wasn't. But it's also inconsistent with every past version of SRB2 that included CEZ (apart from Demo 4 where the level was first introduced), as well as 2.2's Castle Eggman. Act 3 had rain in the original, why not the first two acts? I'm asking you nicely to please make it consistent with the other variations of this zone by making them have rain.

OGAmyDroid updated 2.1 Levels with a new update entry:

V1.2: CEZ Improvement and sprite cleanup.

Finally got around to making CEZ a vast improvement.
* The chains and maces are now their 2.1 variants.
* Last update mentioned it as well but saying it again: Egg Guards are no longer stupid when it comes to multiplayer. Errors should be gone now.
* Knuckles path in CEZ1 no longer has maces in it, to make it more accurate to later iterations of 2.1.
* Did a small bit of clean up and deleted some unnecessary stuff to try and make the file smaller, even if just by a little bit. I'll have to...

I was honestly expecting rain in all three acts of Castle Eggman Zone. I really was. And I'm disappointed that this update didn't deliver that. It did fix issues from the stage, but my biggest issue with the stage is that there's no rain effect in Act 1 or Act 2. Act 3 originally had rain, why not the first two acts? It's inconsistent, and I'm NOT a fan of inconsistency.

aren't you talking about something else though? 2.1 CEZ has no rain. and also you are being entirely nitpicky.

Youo're probably thinking of either final Demo or 2.0, and the 2.0 version may be more likely.

Had a look at the emblems, and, as everyone already knows, only 77 of the 160 emblems from v2.1 have been restored. 2 of those are the Complete 1P Mode and it's All Emerald variation, while the other 75 are the emblems in the stages themselves in all 18 main maps (aside from boss acts) and the 3 extra maps. None of the Record Attack emblems have been implemented, and neither was the other three bonus emblems. The single emblem in each NiGHTS stage wasn't implemented either.

Regardless, if you've played the original v2.1, and know where every emblem is, all of the emblems are in the exact same spots as before, so you won't have a problem with searching for them again.

But I do think a couple more emblems could be added, going up to 80 emblems instead of 77 by adding in the other three extra emblems, two of which are the Perfect Bonus emblem, which requires getting a perfect bonus in any of the main levels, and the "Show your mastery of NiGHTS!" emblem, which is awarded after beating Black Hole Zone.

Although the third and final extra emblem is awarded after beating the SRB1 Remake, which was removed in v2.2 for an unknown reason, the workaround for that last emblem could be one for completing Aerial Garden Zone (unlocked the same way as the Complete 1P Mode with All Emeralds emblem) and Azure Temple Zone (unlocked by completing Aerial Garden Zone), similar to the Challenge Mastery emblem from the main game, but with 2 stages required instead of 3. Also can have the unused chain/link emblem symbol, redrawn to use v2.1's graphics, and called "Master the Hyper Levels!", as AGZ and ATZ were considered "Hyper" levels in v2.1.

Both of those variations of Castle Eggman Zone did have rain, but for some reason, v2.1's Castle Eggman Zone did not. For some reason, since Castle Eggman Zone's remake in v2.0 was pretty unfinished, and revised for v2.1, but after completing the first two acts of the zone on top of adding Act 3, the development team disabled the rain effect that EVERY version of the zone (bar Demo 4's Castle Eggman Zone) had, and they even kept the cloudy sky intact, but did not make it rain (except in Act 3).

I'm not even sure if those are real things.
1. I kept monitors as 2.2 monitors because I want this to be as compatible with mods as possible. Adding in old monitors would break that, especially for Mario and Luigi.
2. There is no 2.1 fire, unfortunately. Again, I only did the best with what I had. Maybe when it does get ported, I'll use that instead.
and 3. Multiplayer coding? That would be impossible. Not to mention it would probably make this mod too big to download, even if I could.
Well, I wanted to ask a question.
but no longer needed.

Thanks.

OGAmyDroid updated 2.1 Levels with a new update entry:

Fixing the frames and introducing a familiar echidna!

So I got a few comments about CEZ having a few frame drops. At first I thought it was just nothing.. until I realized I wasn't using the latest version of the maces and chains system. This makes it so the maces only appear when a player is nearby, so hopefully that fixes the issue. Other miscellaneous things are:
* Removed some invisible barriers around a few spikes.
* Also updated the bosses so they should be their current versions from the Retro bosses port.
* Fixed a ceiling texture in...
