This is the Latency Jump. If you get launched off of a spring (or any platform, provided you're not air walking) or get hurt, you can press both Jump and Spin to halt all horizontal momentum in an attempt to recover. You can use the Triple Dash out of the Latency Jump, but you only get one dash, so remember to use it wisely!

And now, for something special for the Super form.

Coming straight from the Sonic 3 A.I.R. mod is the ability to blast all enemies in your area like a rechargeable Armageddon Shield with your first Super dash!
Not sure how else I can explain it, it speaks for itself lol.

That's all for now. We're still actively working on v2, but don't expect a release date any time soon. Our spriter, @VanillaUwU is still taking their time working on Modern Knuckles.

Anyway, to celebrate, here's v1.2.3. The fixes included in this update were meant to be included in v2, but I decided to release them a lot sooner.

About that uh... "rmom-entum" support thing... I found a not so nifty bug, if you spam spindash and go to a ledge, you literally just get stuck lol.

You can spin around while doing this, but it's uh, kinda a softlock until you learn what restarting is

Thank you for bug reporting! Although I'm not sure if this is a problem with Extra Life, seeing how Ruby wasn't the one who added UrMom-Entum Support for Extra Life, the creator of UrMom-Entum was the one who added support. But if it is a problem with Extra Life, I think this bug should be fixed in V2, so watch out for that!

I'm not really sure WHO the bug belongs to, cause it could be the game thinking he wants to do the spindash thing in the air due to him being off ground, but it was on ground, so the game gets confused and keeps him there???? idk just a theory cause it doesn't happen with anyone else

The game actually puts the player in the "Standing" state as soon as they land (every time), so it can't be the game. Unless...

Thanks for the bug report! After some discussion with the creator of UrMom-Entum (@Sebo2205), we have found out that this is a problem with the Extra Life mod itself. A patch for this issue will be released very soon.

Actually that's a great idea, maybe I'll add Lawyer Gesture Support, the creator of Lawyer Gesture Support is also on the dev team so that's a nice coincidence!
