The flames we use are vanilla sprites - the mod you're talking about replaces them. You can actually see this if you load up the map and go to Red Volcano, the pyreflies, the fire flowers all have the same issue here.
Not really a Kiryu-exclusive issue, so it may be necessary for the map pack to update those flames to be a custom object rather than a vanilla sprite replacement, it'll avoid further issues with anyone who uses those same particles.

Also I can't recreate the OpenGL issue that it blocks your view, although I imagine you meant to talk about the issue above.

the record attack thing is normal for mods. CUZ ITS A MOD DUH
 
Tried this out tonight, was very fun to play! Ended up doing race mode netplay with him and it seems that even though you have infinite lives in race you will still game over as Kiryu after three deaths. This happens even after picking up an extra life.
 
kiryu can get a game over in racing after dieing 3 times, would it be possible to fix this?

It was in the reveal trailer iirc but I guess they scrapped it for simplicity's sake

And I'm ok with that
