I got into SRB2 in 2021. While i was looking for some Sonic fangames i started to remember one particular fangame, SRB2. I discovered SRB2 in 2018 i think? but i dint think about it much back then. when SRB2 popped up in my head, i wanted to try it. so i downloaded SRB2 and played it. and look at me now, a person who plays SRB2 Everyday.

actually saw the game on a best of fangames vid during 2018
couldnt find that shit until i get a brain mid 2019 and find the site
srb2.org

to tell i joinned so late in the 2.1 party i actually started during 2.1.21

and now i fucked myself with a personal promise
I will not stop playing this game until it offically dies
i dont do this for personal satisfaction.I do it for my lost 2.1 friends that i lost when 2.2 was out

I found the old version with Superman Sonic (1.09.5 IIRC?) while browsing a Sonic Fangames site, then discovered the up to date (at the time) 1.09.6 on srb2.org while trying to figure out how to load wads. It was around 2007 or 2008 at the time.
 
I saw the video from may 1st from 2017, and i was like, meh. i don't remember playing 2.1.....
but i think somewhere in 2020 one of my friends recommended to play this game, and i liked it.
and now i wait for my friend to host the server.
 
I guess it was at first the SRB2 2.0 unofficial port on Wii, then played 2.1 a little on ODROID XU4, but I truly get into SRB2 and SRB2 Kart, because of Coraldev's SRB2 Kart montage videos, and then discovered that SRB2 2.2 was released back in 2019.

I have a funni past with game when i was a kid (and i did'nt know any freakin letter of the english) i just find a video for super blaze in SRB2 and in that time i could'nt read the name of the game so yee... and when i get my brother laptop (its extremly mine right now) i just downloaded what i want and one day i was bored so i search on youtube "sonic fangames" and i find SRB2 pop in my face i download the old version (in that time the newist version was 2.2.6 and i just download it 2.2.1) and i did'nt know how to download 2.2.6 (but it was simple after all) i enjoyed it even it did'nt have the mutiplayer working and one day i watch how to setup srb2 bc i was bored and in that video they say how to setup 2.2.2 when i know that u have to take 2.2.1 and put the 2.2.2 files i just said: wait does that work on 2.2.6 too? guess i will find out and when i tested it it worked and this was my first mutiplayer experinse and it was the best one, and this is how i enjoyed srb2 i know no one will read this but i typed it already

When I first found out about this game, I thought it looked like shit... It was in 2019 however. I started playing since 2020.
 
That happened when i was 6yo i was waitin for more sonic games when an video of srb2 poped up in my yt reccomendations so yea started playing it and i still play even tho i lost my laptop before 2.2 was out
 
Well:
in 2017 when I was watching some Patafoin videos on my tablet I saw like a video of random SRB2K montage, a Sonic Schoolhouse mod for 2.1 and Logan McCloud models for 2.1 and I was like "wtf is this bullshit its fucking awesome". Then back in 2019 when I finally got my own pc I saw a trailer for 2.2 and decided to play it. It was great
 
SRB2K. I checked out the base game once, took a break, came back for spectrums server and ended up 100%ing the game with all chaos emeralds on all characters

I had no life back in the 2.2 days, but I don't even interact with this community anymore anyway sooo
