A thread about my opinions on SRB2 "mod beggars"

Hello everyone, Jer here. Today I'm gonna make a thread about the most infamous part of the SRB2 community and voice my own opinions.

The mod beggars.

Who are mod beggars?

Mod beggars are people who either beg for a certain mod to be made, or people who beg for a certain mod to release right then, and right now. They are everywhere, Youtube, the fourms, even the Discord might have one or two mod beggars in them.

srb2 asker: The latest mod beggar to appear as of 3/18/21

@srb2 asker is the latest mod beggar to appear as of late. His name kinda gives it away. As of today, he's begged for a level mod to release before it's even done, and begged for the Adventure Sonic mod. srb2 asker is the least offensive, but the most recent still need to be pointed out.

Sonic Channel S: The worst mod beggar out there.

Sonic Channel S. I already have a flaky history with this guy as is, but the fact I learned recently he was a MOD BEGGAR just made me crack up. My friend Somario has pointed out he's one of the MANY people who caused Blurt (does he go by that handle anymore? Ah, whatever) to give up on developing 06 Sonic. He's also one of the many beggars for the Vanilla 06 Sonic wad by @GemerlYT. He's just everywhere, he needs to be stopped. (as a mod beggar)

Jer's Closing Statement

Overall, SRB2 mod beggars are the most annoying species of SRB2 fans to ever exist.

(If the mods feel I've been a bit harsh, I'm allowing them to lock this thread whenever they can.)

Well if you think @Jer isn't cool, learn some self-accountability if you know what that means in the first place. He's trying to help you improve so you aren't collectively hated by some, those people and community creators aren't forced to release stuff for you.

I can finally use my funny scout voice line i downloaded, except not bc the file is too strong for the forum so here's the video

jokes aside, i don't really like any type of beggars at all, so i recommend reporting them

Know that you don't have to make a whole thread about a section of the community that almost everyone knows about and almost everyone has the same opinion of just to essentially say it again.
And just to restate it, you don't need to create a whole thread about it either, just because you saw one or two people do it.


You have a button to report users, use it if you feel that a particular post is being disruptive.

I echo everyone else's sentiments, this thread really didn't need to be made when you could just report the offending parties.

As everyone above kindly pointed out, there's no reason for this thread to exist. Everyone knows what mod beggars are and everyone thinks that's bad, but the MB is not the place to craft callout posts: you report rule breaking users, and moderation takes care of it. I don't know what you sought to accomplish with this, but it's certainly not the right way to do it.
