ArchPack 2.5 is on the way
ArchPack - single player and multiplayer level pack for SRB2 v2.2.x

ArchPack is a level pack addon for SRB2 with single player and multiplayer maps, including my very first map called Misc[ellaneous] Trip released in 2008, and the grinding (and OLDC winner) Mill Citadel Zone.

I don't recall if I ever gave these a try back in the day. I look forward to checking them out.

Very little is as nostalgic as being able to play Mill Citadel again. When I was younger, it was probably my go-to map in 2.1, so I'm glad to be able to experience it again. Long live ArchPack!

Nice! I love this. Great pace to the levels, fast and furious, and I loved the giant mill. Constantly new tricks and ways to use the mill setting, really cool. Exactly the kinda stuff I like.
Weird I never found this back in the day, but glad I gete to enjoy it now.

oh, really lovely getting to see these map packs getting ported to 2.2, always were a fun choice to pick when i wanted to play something high quality but short, excited to play them again!

One of the level packs I would like to see. Excellent!

What can I say.I got a strange experience. These levels are old, but at the same time they look "a little 2.2".

I am not any mapping pro, so don't take it seriously.

Genesis Keep Zone 1/2

I really liked the beginning of the first act. I can't really say anything, only that the level is too horizontal, but this is a problem of "old age".

There were times that I just got lost. I talked with friends on discord and this problem is only observed for me. I'm inconsiderate :X

I didn't like the music. It's too annoying that I just entered in the console "tunes GFZ2", sure.

Mill Citadel Zone 1/2

There are many pits of death at these levels and I don't like that they do not have a "pit effect" (shadow, like in ACZ1/2, ATZ)

I don't really understand why you are using THIS. I don't know if it's fog or colormap, but why? Why don't you just brighten the sector?

I don't know how people used to perceive it, but I found it very strange. Why didn't you use polyobjects? Or have you already tried? Polyobjects are a good way out of the situation, however, there may be problems with them. I would like to listen to you

Why is it so bright? Are the sectors set to their maximum brightness level? It looks ... not very good.

Anyway, it's nice to look at it

I liked these two acts. There are interesting tricks, but some do seem old. And again, music - why is it? We have a good quality soundtrack from CobaltBW, why not use it?

Great, I passed the game. Well, it's hard to find tokens here...

...stop! I unlocked a character? Fang?

It's weird because Amy and Metal Sonic won't open. Why such a decision?

Generally speaking. This is a nice level pack and when you play it, you can feel like you are plunging into the past even if you did not participate in this past (like me).

- The levels are too horizontal. There is not enough "vertical play" here.
- Maximum brightness - not very good. And I noticed that there is little play with light on the levels. It’s not good for me.
- Few slopes.
- There are no emblems for time and rings. It's not hard to add, do it!

I don't know why I wrote this ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There are so many details that I would change and describe here, but there are too many of them and most of them are due to the fact that this was created a long time ago, so I will not do it.

Will you create new levels in the future? I'd love to see something from you in the 2.2 standard.

Finally managed to host a server. Obviously I wouldn't forget to add my own pack and people joined. ^^'

And as to the comments, I've read them all. I'll take them into consideration in the next release. Much appreciated! :)

New map in the making. Started the 1st room and doing some sandboxing these days.

It's going to be a desert map, the 2nd zone of ArchPack, before Mill Citadel Zone. The screenshots below show the texture pallet choice and a bit of the theme. Since the desert textures from vanilla is so ewww, I'm using some resources from Community Asset Pack 5.1.

Feedbacks, support and ideas are welcome. :)

I have not played your new levels (unless they exist, of course?) and I understand that your pack is a portal to the past, but I just want to list the details that I would like to see in new levels from you:
  • More "plays" with barriers. At least to make them look like in GFZ1.
  • Area of levels, where there will be not only horizontal, but also vertical play.
  • Paths for different characters (like for knukles, fang, amy and etc).
(note: perhaps you are already doing something from this list, I just listed what I saw in the ArchPack. Also I think it's better to create a separate topic on the MB... but it's up to you)

I think 2.2.10 may have broken this. When I try to load it, the game crashes, and an error message pops up saying "Map MAPB1 not found."
Found out the issue. With this update the game can no longer load the MAPB1 as title screen. I don't know why. Will investigate.

Next up I'll decide if I release a version with this fix only, or, just wait a bit more and I'll release with minor improvements following the suggestions from other people, or even with extra content.

Thanks for reporting. :)

Okay, figured out the issue. Maps now need to be in a folder, well, it was simple.

Also I decided to include 4 more maps: some scrapped, sandbox/test maps, just for curiosity purposes. I have at least 10 or 12 of those, including unfinished maps, that might be released in the future versions.

And unlockables are being reworked and expanded upon. 16 emblems going up to 35~40.

Ezer'Arch updated ArchPack v2.2 (SRMF_ArchPack_v2.2.pk3) with a new update entry:

ArchPack v2.3 is out: 4 extra maps, 42 emblems, plus unlockables and fixes

With SRB2 2.2.10 release and ArchPack v2.2 becoming incompatible, I decided to not only fix the issue but also modify and add content.

Main changes:
  • Added 4 extra maps as unlockable: 2 scrapped maps, 1 sandbox/test map, 1 challenge map.
  • Emblem, record attack and unlockables revamp: upped from 16 to 42, plus record attack emblems for time, rings and score.
  • Minor improvements in several maps.
  • Changed tunes of a few maps.
  • Fix crash with SRB2 2.2.10...
