I've told them before, but I owe Darkybenji a lot for laying the groundwork for us to work on Grow+ together. Each of us had different ideas on what would make Grow better (double damage/extended spinout, offroad immunity, larger items)- or, at least, less situational. After almost 80 personal iterations and merges from Benji's fork of the code, I think we've hit a happy medium balance-wise. While Grow+ is the bulk of this project, there's also a few personal gameplay changes I worked on that are bundled with this project.

With that being said, WELCOME TO HUGEQUEST!

"What is HugeQuest?"
HugeQuest is a collection of gameplay modifications that is sure to spice up any Kart experience.

Mods featured in HugeQuest:
- Grow+ by Darkybenji and myself
- Quantum Jawz by me
- Extendable Invincibility Timer by me
- Mid-air/-Sneaker MT storage by me

Grow+ is a modular item, with various features to create your desired power item.
Base Grow+ includes:
- Item usage
- Adjusted item odds, favoring attack items
- Altered item properties, such as size and ability to split on impact
- Extendable timer

Optional Grow+ features include:
- Offroad Immunity (at the cost of duration and speed boost)
- Extended Spinout inflicted on items hitting other players
- Free* Orbinaut if using Grow would leave you empty-handed

*This Orbinaut will disappear if you haven't used it by the time Grow+ expires.

"Extendable Grow+/Invincibility timer? wat."
Normally, using a second Invincibility while under the effects of the first would reset the duration (10 seconds). However, HugeQuest has modified Invincibility - as well as Grow+ - where using a second item extends the timer instead. For example, if you use a second Invincibility while five seconds remain from the first, you now have 15 seconds remaining vs 10 via Vanilla behavior.

"Grow, with offroad immunity? Sounds OP."
Personally, I didn't like Grow being the only "speed" item without offroad immunity. However, giving it offroad immunity without further adjustments *is* OP, so offroad immunity comes with a price: reduced duration of 10 seconds (from 12), and reduced speed boost of 10% (from 20%). Since speed boost is applied before size scale bonus, Grow's total top speed is 1.5x the adjusted speed. So at 20% speed boost (120% adjusted top speed), Grow's total top speed is 180%, outstripping Invincibility's top speed by almost 45%. However, with only a 10% boost with offroad immunity, Grow's total top speed drops to 165%, a 15% reduction from Vanilla. Combined with the reduced duration, this seemed like a healthy compromise.

"What's this about MT storage?"
Normally, MT is wasted on long jumps and when overlapping with sneaker boosts. Here at HugeQuest, MT is preserved when midair or under the effects of a sneaker boost. Your fastlines will turn green when MT is being preserved during sneaker effects!

"Quantum Jawz?"
Another thing I don't like about Kart's item odds at present is how often a distant 2nd will pull Jawz, with no line of sight to 1st. Most of the time, the only option is to throw them back and hope someone is reckless enough to drive into it. Enter Quantum Jawz - more aggressive and more consistent at longer ranges. Quantum Jawz have a built-in distance calculator, measuring their distance from their target. If that distance is above a built-in threshold, Jawz will then warp a moderate distance away from their target, resuming the chase. Jumps won't save you, either; Jawz can now track vertically across long gaps, and being hit midair stops all momentum, causing you to fall to your doom. Sound familiar? However, the Quantum technology isn't perfected, and firing Jawz while next to your target may cause them to maneuver in wide circles if you miss, potentially backfiring and hitting you instead! Standard Jawz defensive maneuvers still apply.
