Recently, there have been errors with skincolor configurations for Cosmetal's settings (jetcolor, flashcolor etc.). This is due to how the skincolors save. If you use a modded color not added with Cosmetal, set it as one of the options and leave it like that, it will stay. This will be fixed with 2.2, but for now, you just open the configuration file in luafiles/client/CosmicMetal/<config file here>.txt, and change the number to 1, and replace <config file here> with the option name (jetcolor -> JetColor).
The day 1 patch for the Bomb Dive update. Adds power spring interaction and fixes the goop-diving bug.

Cosmetal's been on the MB for just over a year now, and the Bomb Dive Update is here!

Cosmetal now has a bomb dive, inspired by Soap The Hedge's bomb dive move. To use it, press spin while hovering to get a tiny vertical boost and then slam into the floor to fire laser shots, and if you are Super or Hyper, you get an upgraded bomb dive.

Most of Cosmetal's afterimage effects (such as dashmode) have been replaced with Genesis-styled ones. If you don't like them, you can switch them back to the more modern effects with the menu.

One music track, Cosmetal's victory theme, has been replaced by the Sonic Triple Trouble 16-Bit one, and the boss and Fang themes have as well. You can switch these tunes all at once from the menu as well.

On the technical side of things, Cosmetal's variable system has been updated. So if you want to check for the jet boost being active, you can use player.cms.jetboost.active instead of player.rboosting.
Cosmetal v2.0 is here, and it adds lots of features, such as:

Splitscreen multiplayer, or just multiplayer in general, should be working as intended now.

Several changes here:
  • Emeralds are drawn underneath the lives HUD in singleplayer/coop when you retrieve them. Match gametypes will be added later.
  • Removed the bounce altogether.
  • Made the cooldown bars into patches so that they can have video flags, therefore, they snap properly.
  • Slightly tweaked Super sprites so that there's no longer any 253(very dark blue) indexes.
  • Nerfed the Metal Flap so that laser shots home in properly (only one of these per jump), and you can do a second one which is stronger (Infinite of these per jump if you wait the 8-second cooldown time).
  • If you charge a laser shot for more than 2 seconds, the 2 lasers that spawn now actually home in on the target.
  • Internal skin name changed to Cosmetal.
  • Rocket Boosts can now bust bustable FOFs.
  • Alternative lives HUD doesn't show up in splitscreen

I really hate posting so many updates. This update adds the old Metal Sonic Race as a DJ option and fixes the metalimage_color command.

Basically, I looked at some requests made in reviews and made most of them. You can change the colour of afterimages using metalimage_color and you can swap the charge buttons with chargeabilityswitch. The laser blast ability shoots 3 energy balls if you let go after 2 seconds (or just wait the full 3 second charge time).
Also the lives HUD snaps properly now.
Also I post updates way too often.

Sorry for posting yet another update. This one fixes lives hud not working when you switch characters.
