##This is a rough explaination of what I wanted to do with the Bowling Alley map (MAPSZ)

#The Alley Building
I got the bowling alley itself mostly finished, outside of finishing details for the bathroom, audience members,
and the ball returns. I also wanted to have the upper monitors that showed corny CGI strike animations. It was a
very ambitious amount of work I wanted to do for a single room that players would drive through for maybe 10 seconds.
Had this map had been finished, I was going to delegate the "WALL OF FAME" to community members who sesnt in drawings
of OCs or whatever they wanted to put up. Inch was gonna be there too, but now he's all that's there.

#Concept
You would start the map in a realistic looking city ala SA2 styled graphics (and Spider-Man GC bowling graphics lol)
and then drive down the middle lane to enter a fantasy/trippy casino light filled bowling themed city in a space void.
...yeah.
I wanted it to feel like the racers fell into a Sunshine-esque secret level entrace, while the environment itself
was to feel like you found the lost city of Las Vegas. There were meant to be neon signs with some character faces
(probably Sonic, Inch, or MArio I wasn't sure at that point), tall skyscrapers in the skybox, maybe a tiny fountain,
and would use the secondary skybox Lua by Monster Iestyn (I think they made it anyway). You enter the lane and the
skybox viewpoint swaps, you exit the area and swap back to the original skybox with the player exiting a fallen over
dumpster between some random buildings. You are back from your crazy trip from the world of bowling, and hurry back
to the parking lot in the real world to do lap 2.

#Bowling Balls and Pins
I wanted to try to learn Lua or ask help for someone to make a custom object that could follow wavepoints and have
an active hitbox that would squish or hit the player. This would be for giant bowling balls riding through the level.
These would be placed on the top halfpipes in the level that currently serve no purpose. Another one would be placed
at the end of the map rolling down the final stretch just before the dumpster exit. It would follow waypoints going
straight down the middle only to fall down and loop back around to the top again. Those placeholder giant pin
textures by that end lane section were meant to be stationary neon signs that never moved. The final ball never
leaves the lane it spawns on pretty much. No other gimmicks would be present in the level. Most of the work I had
to do was visual. This meant learning how to make good custom textures. Unfortunately, I never got around to that
before I had my major burn out...

#The Final of the Bowling Cup
This is why my pack was originally called the Bowling Cup. This was actually the first map I wanted to work on, but
I SUCKED ASS at maping starting out, so I opted for a SMB1 styled map to work around having to learn complex slopes
and custom object creation. This was an ultimate climax nearly 3 years in the making, since I joined the Kart modding
scene back in 2019. I was still in college. lol

#Map ID Conflicts
I wanted to swap Bowling Alley's map ID with Vanilla Zig Zag's so everything appeared nice in the menus. So the
map files in this pack update here are written to be that way. This means VZZ is now under map ID SJ. If anyone is
already using mapSJ then I apologize. Anyone hosting this map pack on their servers feel free to either change map
slots for anything that conflicts or just drop Bowling Alley entirely if you want since it'll be in the Hell Map
category.

#Final Thoughts
You know what my favorite part of mapping was? It wasn't creating fun gimmicks that I would play through dozens of
times for single player testing, or how those tracks would play in multiplayer. Nope! It was putting in pointless
easter eggs that people would most likely miss! I LOVED pointless easter eggs! But Bowling Alley was too early of
a map to put any in. It's a real damn shame! Even my battle maps have neat background details that could count as
easter eggs. I modeled the handle of a Gamecube out of FOFs, I made a pipe that took you to a secret room with
different characters appearing based on if its in encore or not, I put two different SimpleFlips references in
two different maps (one of them is new for this update), I put a random Lythero video screenshot in Cheese Land
that's off of the main course, I made a damn Neverhood reference that's probably my funniest map edition ever AND
I NEVER EVEN FUCKING PLAYED THAT GAME!!! But all of it was worth it! I have fun making whatever stupid things I
wanted to. That's was the huge draw of map making for this game was to me, having fun in my own DOOM styled
playground... but its a racing game so I can be maticolous of what the player can see and where they can go.
It was oddly the most productive thing I have ever done within my early college years. PArt of me misses it, but
most of me wants to shift that energy and passion elsewhere. So if you're reading this and are a map maker as well,
or maybe you make custom characters or Lua or just have fun playing other people's creations, I just want to say...

Thank you for putting up with my dumb bullshit.
