Hi. This is SoupBowler.
I've been gone for almost a full year from the Kart scene. This is due to personal reason I shall not disclose here.
I had silently retired from the game when the new year started and slowly left any Kart focused Discord server excluding a few that I hang out in for non-Kart reasons.
I have no plans to comeback, and I have no interest in the sequel that much. I do realize, however, that there is a small amount of people in this community that actually liked my maps a lot, which is something I am still surprised about to this day.
In a moment of nostalgic weakness, I have decided to dump my most recent indev build of Bowler's Pack on the SRB2 MB as my final release.
This version, to my knowledge, was last touched sometime in the first week of October 2021. I use to have a change list of adjustments made for V2.0 of the pack, but it's probably outdated now.
This dev build only made changed to the race maps, and adds another new original map in Hell mode.
Today I'm giving you all this version of Bowler's Pack with complete and utter allowance to change anything you want about it. I am saying this in text so nobody will hopefully bother me afterward about it (please don't).
You can make your own balance patches for later builds, you can use the textures and custom objects made specifically for this pack such as the Inchworms, you name it.
Hell, port it to Ring Racers whenever that comes out, I don't care! It's out of my hands at this point. Just try not to be cheeky and claim all or any work used from this pack as your own. People will hunt you down.
Please keep in mind any and all Lua made by other people and that are used in this mod pack are off limits for modification unless given permission by the original Lua creators. Non-Lua custom objects are fair game!
Anyways, this pack also includes the unfinished map "Bowling Alley" as a hell map due to it being in an unfinished, but playable state. I will have a separate text file describing my intentions for this map back when I was working on it within the pack upload. I know you guys still have fun with this game, so consider this a proper fell well I suppose. If things break, fix it yourself. Most definitely this will conflict with some textures in community resources no doubt (if anyone still uses that).
I'm making the tiniest of last minute changes to some maps for the sake of bug fixing only.
There is one bug pertaining to Mushroom Kingdom's music switching that crashes sometimes and last I heard needs a lua fix? Sorry, that's too much for me to handle.
I also haven't checked the map slot list since last year so I have no idea if the free slot I choose for Bowling Alley is still "unoccupied". If it is, just change it for the server you run the pack on (or gut the map out if you want).
Another thing to note is that Bowling Alley replaces Vanilla Zig Zag's slot on SZ, while VZZ is now on SJ. Again, change at your own convenience.

Cheese Land now has its waypoint error fixed. No more item tracking or placement shuffling errors should occur. Minor visuals in Cheese Land and Winter Garden were also made.
