This is not exclusive to THZ1. I've also gotten similar results in parts of GFZ1.
 
This happens from time to time, If you hit a sector just right, you are able to enter it. It's kind of unreparable unless you reconstruct the sector.
 
This is most definitely a programming flaw concerning Tails pickup.
