Yes, you put them in the Notepad file and name it "autoexec.cfg". NOT "autoexec.cfg.txt". Make sure that file is in your SRB2 folder.
What did you put in the autoexec.cfg?

You made sure to change it from saving to *.txt to All Files, right? If you didn't, it got saved as autoexec.cfg.txt.

Um, I think you're confusing autoexec.cfg with a batch file.
Type "srb2win -win -height 640 -width 400" (or whatever supported resolution you like) without the quotes and save it as a .bat, double click on the .bat file and then it will run in windowed mode.

No it won't. That only sets up what resolution you want to use.

Well, you're confusing autoexec.cfg with a batch file then. Rename the thing to anything with ".bat" at the end and double click it.
