A bit of some spriting help

Hm, that might be it, but I think there is more to it that I can't exactly pin point. Here is the improved sprite following Motor's post and Phil's. Do note, the shoes and legs are definatly not final, they were something I quickly made but will edit later:



EDIT: Its just in, I can't make legs for my life. I attempted to make legs for both the first and second frames, yet they look extremely bad. Any advice on how to make/what should I do to improve the legs? The Sonic shoes are placeholders for when I properly make it the shoes with the specialized design I want:

Okay. First, make the shine white. it looks weird grey.
Second... Uh, I don't now actually. Let me draw something real quick.

Or make it bright green instead.

1.) Forgot to post, MotorRoach's suggestion helped.

2.) I have another problem that will help me with other sprites of mine. The problem is the misunderstanding of anti alias and coloring.

3.) Sorry for these one sprite posts, but I ask what I need help with, and it so happens I need help with these one sprites.
