Almost all shadow WADs resemble Sonic too much. I would recommend making him thinner, shift his weight forward, and add more menace to his face and posture.

Make it as dark as the fur on my Shadow sprite above this sentence.

And do something about the eyes... They don't look mean enough to me. Maybe you should make them more like the shape of my Shadow's eyes?

I'm not trying to stop Dr Pepper and his Shadow, in case you guys think I am.

Wow i have to admit i like this sprite better, it looks more like shadow's angry rebellious self, and he looks a lot more serious and more shadowy. XD
 
But the overall quality of that particular sprite is a little crappy. Also, why are you focusing on Monster's sprite instead of the topic?

I still think my Shadow sprite looks more SRB2-styled, and more accurate to the official Shadow...

I'm not particulary fond of the style used in Dr Pepper's Shadow personally, especially the eyebrows...
He still doesn't look dark enough in the fur areas. Make the shape of his eyes look more like my Shadow sprite.
The colors used for the rings look wrong. Use some of the darker gold colours too for them.
Those shoes don't look right... Make them look a tiny bit bigger, and more straight.
 
Yours may be more accurate, but not as well drawn as Pepper's. (No offense.) But that's not to say yours is sucky. I do, however, agree that the eyebrows suck.

His fur still needs to be way darker. see if you can make him near black. he's just dark gray now.
 
I think that DP has it in a manner in which the plain fur (not stripes) would change at this point. :)
Anyway, this means that the fur cannot be much darker. Also, if the fur is made darker, the shading will be eliminated.
 
Out of curiousity dr P is the fur going to change color on this shadow like how jshadow and shadow in srb2riders mod does? Or is its spikes just gonna change color?

That's a good idea, I might go with that instead. A simple change of start/end color and recolor the lines to red.

Well, the shoes are cool, and I wonder what Dr. Pepper is planning to do the walking frames
