This has been addressed before. Chances are the MB will stay active for a bit, the contests will of course go on for awhile. And we'll occasionally get an SRB2JTE-esque mod with fun new features to play with. But, like all good things, It will eventually die.

My guess is some time after the final version is out.

The game Jazz Jackrabbit 2 has been abandoned by its creators for at least eight years, is filled with bugs, has less customization than SRB2, and doesn't have the source-code released, yet the community still manages to stay alive. Judging from that, SRB2 should live on for quite a long time after 1.1 comes out, make no mistake about it. However, after a while, interest will probably die out, as people move on to bigger and better things...

I can't say I'm even gonna see 1.1 come out. 'Nuff said.

I'm staying for 1.1, and whoever puts slopes, loops, and curves in. At least.

so many people have been affected by this... peoplewho hate all sonic games even like it, and it turns themon to real sonic games, thus creating a lover of sonic,always. anyway, im gonna try to make level wads of the new games,secret rings, and stuff,for those who cant afford a system.
