Uh, Kiro, it's pretty clear you've never played WoW. WoW, while definitely involving grinding at certain sections of the game, is far less tedious than pretty much any other MMO I've ever played. While I haven't played Maple, in my experience, pretty much all of those Korean MMORPGs are what I like to call "leveling fetish" games, where the game starts out interesting and then you realize that in order to progress you have to kill no less than 7559 wimpy, easy to kill monsters. All the people I know that have played Maple have complained pretty mightily about how much of a grindfest it is.

I won't say WoW doesn't become a grindfest at times, because it certainly does, but at least they've really done a great job at mixing up the grinding with other stuff, especially in the expansion. Instead of just killing monsters, they have you go exploring, escort NPCs, bomb stuff on griffins, play Simon, run instances, and a ton of other gimmicks.

Obviously, with the proper group of friends, any MMORPG can be a huge amount of fun, and I will personally admit to playing Ragnarok Online for a rather long period of time on a private server, and that game is more of a grindfest than anything else I've ever played. If you like watching a little blue XP bar move very slowly, RO is for you.

Well, Mystic. I'm going to have to agree with you on your last 2 paragraphs, maplestory does become a grindfest at times, but...What is the fun if yuo can level SO easy? I mean, there's no fun in that. Maple Story is a challange, test's your patience alot, too. The EXP bar does rather move slowly, i'll say that, but. You can level through events too. With active game masters, the game is beggining to clean up aswell. WoW is much to mature for me (atleast the graphics are). MapleStory, is more kidish, though it's ment for 13+. Many people find MapleStory "cute", actracting more likely players, some may just be annoying pests, and others can be your friend,

Frusteration, it's just makes the game suck, especially for MapleStory. Only smart people can actually play it and get awesome stats. WoW looks like a good game, but my mom won't pay it, accoding to "Credit issues".

Well, the point in WoW is to hit the level cap, currently set at 70. Hence, you level relatively quickly, generally multiple levels a day early-on and then about one level a day later in the game. The reason is that the game actually continues far after you hit the cap, with plenty of stuff to do while at 70. Arena PvP combat, raiding, heroics, world PvP, and battlegrounds. It's not like you hit the maximum level and then you're done, you hit the maximum level and then you start the endgame, which is just as large and even more difficult and complicated than trying to level up.

It also makes leveling a LOT less boring when you actually feel like you're getting somewhere, and I hear they're actually planning on making leveling even faster in an upcoming patch.
