OpenGL Special fading/crashing problem.

Learning Lua right now.
Okay, so you know how leaving levels and other things normally makes the screen fade, right? Well, leaving some Special Stages from the Nights Mode option on the title screen in OpenGL might go to the level selection without fading, or maybe even make the game crash! So, if this is not fixed for 2.1, the game could crash without being fixed! And you would not want that, would you? One more thing, the reason I can't show a gif is because for some odd reason, whenever I press F9 and stop recording, the only thing that appears is... the first frame of the gif. Well, I'm done now. Tell me if this even happens in software mode too!
 
Yeah, OpenGL records APNGs by default, while Software does gifs by default. That will explain your recording problem probably.
 
OpenGL received support for custom fades, however support is spotty for some reason. Notably, my GTX 770 does not work with it.
