OGGs are smaller then MP3s. By a lot.

No, they are usually better quality if you convert from wave to ogg as opposed to wave to mp3. So that is why ogg is usually preferred, because its smaller and better sounding.

Or direct MP3 to OGG with a 100% audio retaining. Just because it's lower, doesn't mean it's less quality.
