Man, I hope I don't have an anime avatar because then I would be like the rest of them.

Anime is a fad. Right now it's REALLY popular. Some fads die out within a few months, other can last YEARS (like Star Wars). Anime had obviously not died out yet and porbably won't die out for a while. So you might want to get comfortable.

Anime avatars are for people who want to rape another guy's avy idea without getting flamed for it. :V
