Ever look at your old posts?

I remember when I used to defend all of the modern Sonic games. Now I can't stand any of them besides Advance 1 and Sonic Adventure.

Ah man, and I remember being banned for that one time early in 2007 when I had a big moment saying that critics don't know anything and that Sonic games were still good. Man...

That was an embarrassing time in my life. I'm glad to have learned better since then. As for my grammar, I still look back at the posts and realize my grammar was never terrible in any posts unless I was on my phone at one time or the other (a month ago).

I sometimes read my old posts and are like "Lol. I still think that, but I wouldn't word it like THAT. :/"

...I think I've always had the proper capital letter/fullstop-ness though. :3

Eh, I look at my posts every once in a long while. By the time I registered here I knew how to act decently on a message board. (That was back in 2008! Other people have been here longer, but still. Quite a while.)
And aside from a few things in the now-extinct HDIJ, and occasionally just making an unnecessary post now and then, I don't find my old self to be embarrassing.

I don't even want to start how bad I was when I started posting here, but simply put I was pretty noobish and immature.

I have in the past, and I'm not particularly interested in digging them up right now. Mostly because I had no notion of this thing you call "concise". That and I was easily dragged into a soapbox rant.

Since then I've got to be a little bit more careful although it still leaks out sometimes I think. I don't even read topics if I don't want to get involved in the discussion.

I always have, and I've never seen any major difference. Aside from the occasional... ticks I seem to go through, like "=P" and different vocabulary.

I don't consider this a bad thing.

...because I have plenty of time to read all the tl;dr posts I'd written when I was new? I don't think I'd be particularly ashamed of most of my soapbox rants, but I'd have to actually reread them first!

Oh, uhm, got you wrong there then.

Well, here are a few noteworthy posts of mine that I managed to dig up:

The rest of you had to wait another 3 years to hear it. :P

I was such a smart-ass back then.

Ahh, good old "Shut up and play". It was my second favorite phrase, next to "Stop".

It sure has been a while since I've seen any doomsayers. I guess we showed them, huh?

Don't you love it when a troll calls you out, trying to be an internet toughguy?

Yo dawg I heard you liked the past so I put this link inside your topic so you can reminisce about the past while you reminisce about the past!

I used to strike fear into the hearts of players. Me entering the netgame was like your school's principal entering the classroom. Everyone always assumed someone was in big trouble whenever it happened.

My first time making the OLDC topic (as explained in the post), and...

...My first time actually hosting the OLDC. I've been hosting it ever since then.

Not by me, but this was probably the post that got me put in charge of the contest.

Another interesting topic I found was the one where we set up April Fools 2007 (the Nazi one). It's pretty funny how quickly we came up with the idea and set it all up. Unfortunately, it's in the Staff Lounge, so I can't post it here.

EDIT: More interesting posts from further back.

The Master Server's name certainly kicked a lot more ass back then.

17 people? Nah, that's not empty at all! Heh, compare that to the 52 people #'fun has right now.

DON'T DOWNLOAD FROM THE SERVER! You'll lag the game to death! Man, I'm glad we can disable server downloading these days.

This only solidifies my belief that maps weren't better back then, but that we just had lower standards. How could I give a map with no weapons and no single rings a 5/10?

http://mb.srb2.org/showthread.php?p=331318#1
Not my post, but Lunar Facility really shouldn't have come anywhere near Thunder Citadel in that contest. Sure, it was notable for being the first moon-themed map, but there really wasn't much to it. It's hard to believe that if I had gotten 1 extra point from any of the people that reviewed my map, I would have won.

You're wrong. It became this page, this page, this page, this page, this page and this page. See what I mean? It was transformed from a list of options into an explanation and introduction with several sub-articles plus several lists of options.

Regarding my old posts, I also wasn't that much of an idiot when I joined, which must have something to do with the fact that it was only one and a half years ago. I had proper spelling and grammar, and I had lurked for a year so I didn't have to ask dumb questions. In essence, if I was an idiot back then, I still am, which is up to debate for you :)

On the other hand, this and the following posts are kinda funny

Same here. I remember once I was on an "Animal Crossing2 tick on this one forum, and I would strap "chaps" to the end of almost every sentence. Looking back, it seemed sometimes funny. xD

(Credits if you know who's catchphrase "chaps" is.)

Eh, most of what I initially wrote was just actions, so I didn't really bother to include the rest. The old General SOC Information page redirects to (and was renamed to) Sonic Object Configuration now, though most of the information I put there was separated onto different pages.

EDIT: Found another one.

"Final Demo 1.09 is going to be the real Final Demo, though."
