So just curious, is there a way to make the electric shield stay activated in water? I was hoping to use a level gimmick with it in water, so I want to know how to stop it from phasing out everytime the water is entered with it, so make it like the electric shield in the modern games? Also can I make the animals freed from badniks stay and NOT disappear? Can these animals also be placed freely on maps?

I think the electric shield fizzed out even in the modern games.

You might be able to get it to not fizz out via lua though.

You could drop an invincibility alongside the shield. It doesn't cancel the shield's magnet ring ability, but it doesn't last forever.

Unless the gimmick in question is longer than ~20-ish seconds?

The gimmick lasts for about 2 minutes...
