Storm City Act 1

Storm City Zone, 3/10

It was a nice idea, badly carried out.

The Good:
-Decent texturing
-Platforming
-Innovative

The Bad:
-Missing textures
-Bad layout
-Linear
-Bad enemy placement
-Too difficult enemies for a first zone
-Short
-Cramped
-Music washed out by lightning

This level needs more spreading out, and a few more ideas, it was rather repetetive. Also, try setting the MusicSlot to 0 for a better effect.

This level has some potential, but I have a lot of suggestions to make it even better:

1. Darken the light level for the whole stage. Lightning won't be visible unless the light level is less than 255, and won't be dramatic unless the light level is SIGNIFICANTLY less than 255.
2. Give the Thok Barrier a brick texture. GFZROCK just doesn't fit the theme of a stormy city.
3. Set the SkyNum to 56. It'll make everything darker and more dramatic.
4. Instead of making the floor of the level F_SKY1, give it a water texture. Not only will the level look more realistic, it'll create the illusion that the city is flooded!
5. Add a couple more simple running areas.

Right now I'd rate this level at a 3 or a 4 out of 10. Do all those things, and you could greatly increase my rating.

Hm... I give this level a 5/10. And that's being generous.
I found the GFZ textrue along the wall the entire time to be a bit strange. Maybe make your thok barrier lower, or change those textures to the dark brick like the buildings.
This level was pretty easy to beat as Knuckles.
The overall theme of the level, I enjoyed.
The buildings were a bit small, and at first I didn't realizethat there was no street below me. I died.
Consider making a sector for the Star Post(s?).

Seriously?

Seriously. The way lightning works is by illuminating everything to light level 255 for a split second. Obviously, if your light level is 255, you'll hear the noise, but you won't see anything.
