I can't my my custom dude on one player

Ok I edited tails to give him new ablitys and stuff like instead of fly he hovers he rolls out rings and shoots to make himself invincable (cool huh?) But for some odd reason when i follow the instructons on the wiki I come up with doodliey squat for him in single player, I mean he is not on the charctior (note bad spelling, not that good at it) select screen so can anyone help me

Also just to know how can i make it so when i add new people it sayd that i have to reset the game to unlock things anyway to bypass that?

No, there is no way to bypass the modified game thing. You add a wad, the game is modified. That simple. Also, read the SRB2Wiki for your 1-P problem.
