Am I the only one who never had a problem raising Chao? I mean, really, what did you do to the Chao? Starve it? Throw it? Ignore it? I never had a single Chao disappear, except for when I purposely killed them. XD
But it's not like I was super careful either, there were times when I accidentally spindashed or woke up my Chao. Yet, somehow I never had a problem.

I like that Chao Gardens, although SA2's more than SA's garden. They can still die even if you raise them properly, like if you spoil them and not discipline them. Even simple things like neglecting them from time to time decreases happiness. They can be fickle things.
 
The whole built-in modding thing only apples to Valve games.

Anywho, it really seems that Sega nailed to who "classic" feel to me, music and all. You know this game will be good just for the truck. For video games, rationality and quality seem to have a negative correlation.

Crisis City footage! I didn't want to spoil the whole level, so I just skimmed through the video. I'm loving the less focus on boost in this level.

Wanna know the funny part? I did the exact same thing with the exact same picture!

EDIT: The only different part is that I'm sort of editing the music so the beginning sounds somewhat accurate.

Okay, seriously, why does every track in this game sound like it has a swarm of electronic bees in it? Its absurdly annoying that this constant buzzing sounds is actually being used as a common instrument.

Because, you know, Sega thinks that animal sounds are appropriate emulations of Genesis soundfonts. Remember the dying cats, of course...

WARNING: Discussion about the Time Eater's true identity below.

So, the Time Eater was a device built by Classic Eggman all along? It's honestly a bit of a letdown. I was hoping for it to be one of the other villians from Sonic's past, or at least a collaboration between the two Eggmen.
 
That skill shop theme sounds like a horrible rendition/mashup of Pollyanna from Earthbound, and the theme song for terrible Mother Goose VHS's I remember watching as kid.

And I agree with D00D64-X, that's some serious overuse of a rather unattractive Saw Wave. Certainly they could have found a better instrument for use in Modern Chemical Plant at least?

This is probably the first thread I haven't opened the Spoiler tags in. Something about me is wanting to keep almost everything in this game a big surprise.
 
I'm not so concerned about the majority of the game, but if Time Eater isn't just a generic monster like in every other Sonic game, but has a surprise character reveal associated with it, I want to experience that fresh.
