NO!

I'm talking about a door opening when you press a switch. I'm not talking about slime being emptied from a sector. Actually in THZ2, the door doesn't open. The door is already opened. The switch activates the slime to lower to the bottom. Get a liquid shield and get to the finish. You'll see that the door is already opened. If you have a liquid shield, you don't have to press the switch. Just get to the finish! Anyways, the first zone: The Gate has nothing to do with slime. It only has to deal with pressing switches that open doors.

Use linedef executors to make switches and such. However, I strongly suggest against overusage of switches. Castle Eggman is not a good stage.

This remembers me... I tried to make levelpack my first level was not very big but I liked it and all it´s holes and platforms but after I saved it a few times some walls went black and it was impossible to fix.
Don´t start too big!

You'd be rather suprised at how similar they actually are. There's a STARS page on linedef executers, that's what you want.

Stairs

How do you easily make stairs when you're using Doom Builder? The way I know is too slow and I know I have to speed things up. I have to edit each floor height individually in each sector and it takes too long. Does anyone have a quicker way to make stairs?

More questions....(Got to make this wad pack great!)

2 questions:

1. How do you add different music into the game so each level plays totally different music that wern't in the original SRB2 game?
Ex. Bingo Highway from Sonic Heroes (will be played in the 31st Zone: Casino World)

2. How do you change the music in each level?

There isn't any other way.

So there is no other way to make stairs faster and easier? Are you sure about that? Zone 19: Stepping Stone Zone will have lots of small stairs and I have got to find out another way to make stairs faster or else the whole wad pack would take longer than I thought.

WadAuthor has an automatic stair generation function, which I find rather sturdy. It's not 100% foolproof, and only works on rectangles of four linedefs, but it does a pretty decent job.

If I have alot of free time, maybe I could make 1 act each day. If I'm lucky, I could make 2 acts or even 1 whole zone.
An act a day? o_O Geez, that's way too quick; it's taking me days just to finish a deathmatch map - although that's reasonable, as it's my first time.
If I were you, just starting and all, I'd take your expectancies and multiply it to at least an act each two days.
2. How do you change the music in each level?
You're using Doombuilder, right? If so, go to scripts and edit MAP01D or whatever. I'm guessing you don't know much about level headers, so you should click here for more details on imputting music and stuff.

So, just put in the settings in the map script and you're good to go.

It does? Why did no one tell me this before?

!!! You remind me of that counter strike fan on ctrl alt delete...
He just goes on and on and on and on and *shot*

How do you make a door? I've read the Doom Builder Manual and I don't quite understand it. Can you show me how to make a door that opens when you press a certain switch?

Wait, how do you do it? According to the other levels in the Mystic Realm, when viewed in Doom Builder, there are all these triangles. How do you know which one it coordinates with?
Ex. One of them is working with the door, another one is with the switch, and another one is working with the switch and the door.

Those triangles are called control sectors. If you haven't read the level design guide in the Editing section of the website, I strongly suggest you do before attempting to make any more levels.

Problems...

I'm back! Yesterday, I had some problems connecting to this site. It was taking too long to load for my computer, but I'm back! Updates below... Sorry, no links yet...

Huge Trouble...

Ok. This is talking about the problem last time. Can you please show me how to make a simple door step-by-step?????
