Does anyone know where to find a free video maker

Okay I've tried google and searched, but i'm not sure what movie editor is free, because my windows movie maker went berserk, so if you know of any video makers that are free please tell me. I was going to get wmm 2.1 but I don't know if I need to buy it or not(but if windows movie maker 2.1 is free tell me please).

Well, why don't you google "Windows Movie Maker" and see if it's free? I personally use Virtual Dub (it's free) for converting videos and stuff, but it can also be used for editing.

Well Virtual Dub doesn't want to accept my avi files, so I'll try to see if Windows Movie Maker 2.1 is free.

Quick google search of 'Windows Movie Maker 2.1'. Oh look, the first result returns this http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/downloads/updates/moviemaker2.mspx.

If you actually bothered to look, you'd notice it says you can download it by just updating to Windows XP Home Service Pack 2.

I've been to that site before, but I can't update my computer without permission.

How to install:
Step 1) Run Windows XP in Safe mode
Step 2) Create a temporary admin account
Step 3) Run Windows XP in Normal mode
Step 4) Login to that temporary admin account
Step 5) Install
Step 6) Delete temporary admin account
Step 7) Do a little dance, make a little love, then get down tonight.
Step 8) Enjoy
