Cory The Hedgehog: The Monkey Ball stages don't "fail" just because you lack the skill of tackling corners. It's very easy if you hold the drift button and release the gas button.

I wasn't creating a bias on personal skill. They're fairly easy to maneuver if you time everything right with the drifts and such, but it's a fact that most people don't get along very well with straight turns in a racing game. :/

To unlock tracks... you play tracks....

It'll only take a couple hours to unlock 99% of the game. It isn't that hard....
To be honest, I've never seen a "casual" 360 owner.

Edit:Imagine this

Nintendo charging 5 dollars to unlock characters and mini-games in Mario Party.
Or YOU charging 5 dollars for a SRB2 save file.

I just got this in the mail from gamefly yesterday, and so far I enjoy it very much.
My favorite characters are: Opa-Opa, B.D. Joe, and Billy Hatcher,
Not in that order.
So if anybody wants to race online with me, my gamertag is The Super Flip.

Also,

Does anyone know how to do a wheelie in the 360 version
I think it's up and down on the analog stick/dpad.

No online play to a racing game is like suicide.

What about the all the racing games before this generation then? Anyway, I can't believe I forgot to say this earlier but my PSN name is "Crash123ABC" if anyone wants a race...

In short, this 'DLC' is designed for the people who only play casually, and would probably never unlock everything normally. This way they can enjoy everything without spending countless hours playing the game like us not-so-casual folk.
I object to this. This DLC is not intended for casual folk. It is intended to extort MONEY from casual folk. Before DLC existed, there was this amazing technique games used called button cheats, where you would enter in a cheat code and it would unlock things for you instead of going through the game normally. These were often hidden away in the game and talked about several months later to allow everyone a chance to get everything on their own, but allowed you to unlock everything if you were a casual player without handing $5 away for the privilege.

It's pure extortion, plain and simple. There is nothing positive about this trend of using DLC for trivial things just to extort a little more money out of people. If you want casual players easy access to all of your content, just put in an old-fashioned button cheat and be done with it.

I don't know if this has been said before, but apparently (I haven't seen for myself), in the Wii and PC versions of SaSASR there is a card in one of the Casino Park stages which is actually a random fanart picture of Sonia from devaintart which was used as a placeholder but was forgotten to be removed from the final Wii and PC versions.
Well, seems the people who made this (heard it wasn't actually Sega) made a complete stuff up with the suppossed 'theft' of a picture. But they've given their apoloies and hopefully it can be considered an easter egg. :3

Edit: Found the journal entry of the person. RianaLD. Well, seems as though they don't mind, everyone's one big happy family again. :D

You can see the actual card and original image here:

This was written in Wikipedia for awhile now, but it's still amazing that they used a fanart as a temp image. It couldn't have been a Sonic copy or some other player card. Instead, they used an online image. I'm sure everyone agrees that it's cool, and that it will remain on future Wii discs and PC versions.

Yeah... like a month old. :p

Oh, the Monkey Ball stages are easy. But still, that doesn't excuse the crappy layout.

The only crap part about them really is how you'll not touch 90% of monkey target, just go on the edges all the time. I really don't understand why 90 degree turns are so hard to understand.
